Tired of searching for available parking spots, use the app and find spots instantly!
Software used:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Marvel
Purpose:
It can be hard to find parking spots. It may also be hard to know if the drivers are able to park at a specific place, and for how long they can stay. This app aims to help the users find parking spots, and in a simple way tell them how long they can be parked.
Method:
Participatory design was used to develop this prototype. This meant that the users participated in every step of the development. Observation was used as a method when conducting the user-tests. This means that the user was observed while trying to find a parking spot. When the car was parked, an interview was held.
The prototype was made using Marvel and Adobe Photoshop. The photos were edited in Photoshop, and then put into Marvel for the actual prototype.
Results:
An app was made, where the driver can see green and red circles. The green indicated that there are empty parking spots, while the red means that they are occupied. The number in the circle indicates the number of available slots. The user is guided by a GPS to reach the parking spot. The simplicity is made so that the driver won't get too distracted by the app while driving.
