When your dog is home alone, look after it from where ever you are!
Software used:
- Figma
- Adobe Photoshop

Purpose:
A dog owner should be able to check his/her dog, even when not present at home. If the owner is gone for a while, not being able to know how the dog is doing can make them worried. This system will allow a dog owner to check up on the dog anywhere.
Method:
Surveys were conducted to gather quantitative data about users, and their dogs. This gave us the idea of the primary requirements for the system, and generally what the users wanted. Interviews were later conducted for some qualitative data. After the first prototype was made using Figma and Photoshop, user-tests were conducted. This process iterated until a final version of the prototype was finished.
Results:
An app was made together with an artifact, the artifact was to be placed at home, and is connected to the app. Basically the user could “contact” her/his dog while away. With the artifact, the owner could also throw a ball (to keep the dog active) and give the dog a treat. A core feature is that the app notified the owner of how long the dog has been for alone, because of the law that does not allow a dog to be home alone for too long.
